Two rare and important pieces of Art Deco jewelry history. Superbly crafted during the finest period of the maison, these highly sophisticated diamond and platinum earrings by Raymond C. Yard are set with two fine Kashmir sapphires. Despite their extravagant design, these moderately sized earrings, measuring only about one inch, are easy to wear, light on the ear, and suitable for many occasions. With double lab reports – AGL and GIA – both confirming Kashmir origin and unheated condition.

Metal: Platinum 900 (minimum), no purity marks, acid tested, both pieces stamped Yard
Center stone I: Unheated Kashmir sapphire, 1.54 ct, 6.83 x 5.25 x 4.83 mm
Center stone II: Unheated Kashmir sapphire, 1.10 ct, 6.69 x 4.72 x 3.92 mm
Certification: AGL (New York) & GIA (New York), both confirming unheated Kashmir sapphire for both stones
Accent stones: numerous round and baguette diamonds, two modified shield/kite shaped diamonds, approx. 2.00 ct total weight, G-F-E color, VS clarity
Condition: excellent throughout; both center stones slightly repolished prior to certification
Size: the earrings a little over 1 inch in length
Comment: these earrings retain their original clip-back fittigs (no posts); if desired, they could be fitted with additional posts for pierced ears, or with modern Omega style backs; all this would be possible in a reversible fashion, not affecting the originality
