A superb vintage jewel, in the style of the Edwardian age, but actually crafted around 1960 by renowned Boston ‘society jeweler’ Firestone and Parson. The craftsmanship is, as to be expected, outstanding, and both the sapphire and the surrounding diamonds are first class. The center stone, an unheated Burma sapphire of 2.60 ct, has a highly saturated, amazingly vibrant, deep ‘royal blue’ color – and its superb clarity and transparency greatly add to its value. The diamonds are old European cuts of the highest quality. Set in rich 18K gold, this sapphire ring couldn’t be more classic and exciting at the same time.
