A delicate but very classic necklace consisting of natural saltwater pearls, showing fine cream colors and very beautiful 'orient' overtones as well as remarkably good symmetry. The antique plain gold clasp could be exchanged for a diamond or gem-set clasp, if desired. Classic 'choker length' at 16 inches. Pearl necklaces of this length go particularly well with crew neck tops or dresses.

Pearls: 111 natural saltwater pearls, oval and near-round shapes, ranging in size from 5.60 to 2.19 mm, cream color, some with 'orient' overtones

Clasp: 18K gold, very rich, reddish in color; unmarked; made around 1900

Certification: GIA (New York), confirming that all pearls in this necklace are natural saltwater pearls, without indications of treatment
